Stand Strong! — Scripture Reflection #055

1 Peter 5:8-9 (New Living Translation)

8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.

We must stand strong against the enemy and his sly attacks, knowing that we have a host of others fighting alongside us. Moreover, the battle is already won! Our futures in Christ are already written.

So stand strong and know that here and now, as we fight our battles, God will provide strength, support, and restoration until the day of the Ultimate Victory — His return.
