As I was listening to this song on the radio on the way home from church, it reminded me of how important it is for me to place my joy and contentment in the LORD. I have learned that when I try to live by my own strength, I am prone to burnout. I have learned that the things of this world are not enough to satisfy me as I wish they would. These revelations have led me to pursue God. When I am seeking Him and living in the rest that He provides (Matthew 11:28-30), I find myself living with new strength and motivation.
This life we live is an opportunity to get to know the God who created everything before we spend eternity with Him. It is crucial, then, that we live this life always seeking after Him, so that when we do see Him, our joy will only be multiplied.
This is the fight of our lives. Victory is already ours; joy is already ours. We just need to call on Him and live according to His strength!
