When I think about who God is, faithfulness immediately comes to mind. Whether I am thinking about God’s hand in the lives of other people–maybe even thousands of years ago–or I am thinking about my own life, the evidence of God’s faithfulness is clear. 

I can see God’s faithfulness in His provision. I can see it in His mercy. I can see it in how He carries my burdens. I can see it in His patience and love. And the more I think about the faithfulness of God, the more extraordinary it seems. 

Why would God choose to love us who have not reciprocated that same love? Why would He continually seek us when we did not want anything to do with Him? After repeatedly breaking His heart by going against Him, why would He still want us? 

I believe the answer is that Faithful is simply who God is. Loving is who He is. He cannot turn away from that nature. And we who choose to accept Him are infinitely blessed because of it. 

So, listen to this song again and give thanks to God for who He is and who He has been to you. Remember His love and faithfulness, and praise Him for it today!
