God’s intention for sex — Scripture Reflection #065
Proverbs 5:15-17 (New Living Translation)
15 Drink water from your own well–share your love only with your wife. 16 Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone? 17 You should reserve it for yourselves. Never share it with strangers.
Sex is a gift from God meant to be expressed and enjoyed only within the borders of marriage. When used outside of these borders, it can have destructive consequences with potentially life-changing results. We must be intentional, deliberate, and careful to follow God’s design for sex so that we can honor Him with our bodies and stay safe in this fallen world.
