Understanding that you are loved by God is key to living the life that God wants for you. When you live by this knowledge, you will realize that at the end of every day, nothing matters more than who you are to your Heavenly Father. No work, no performance, no achievement, not a thing you do in the day will supersede who you belong to. This will free you to do all things from a place of love and praise for the One who loves you.
Think about the things that give you the most stress and anxiety. Why do they make you feel that way? For me, it is often living up to other people’s standards. I feel this way because I want to be accepted and helpful to those around me. When I remind myself that I am deeply loved and accepted by God, I realize that I do not need to work for the approval or acceptance of others—I am already accepted, approved, and loved by God.

The Calling: Take some time to consider areas where you feel anxiety and stress. Then, recognize who you are to God. Finally, view those areas of anxiety and stress in the light of God’s love and truth.
As you put your head down to sleep tonight, remember that you are deeply, deeply loved by God, and that is what truly matters in this life!
